JESSIE FLORENCE STOUT was born near Clarksburg, Ind., July 24, l856, and departed this life near Humeston, Iowa, April l0, l923, age 66 years, 8 months and l7 days. She was married to JAMES WEEDEN DICKINSON, April 7, l872. To this union three children were born: EVERETT M., of Lathrop, Mo.; HATTIE, now MRS. C.A. OFFIELD, of Humeston, Iowa; and ALBERT RUSSELL, who died at the age of four years.
MRS. DICKINSON united with the Christian Church at Clear Creek, September 26, l886, and was baptized by Rev. B.F. Knox, who was Pastor of the church at that time. She was a faithful Christian, a kind and highly respected friend and neighbor, a devoted mother and wife always forgetful of self and ready to minister to those in need. She counted her friends by the score for to know her was to love her. Her husband preceded her in death almost two years. She leaves two children, ten grandchildren, one sister and three brothers, a host of relatives and friends to mourn her departure.
She will be sadly missed but God called her and as the night ended and day dawned she quietly and peacefully slept in the sleep of the righteous to awake in her Father's House.
