Chris, In reviewing your postings today for the first time on GenForm and also being an e-mail subscriber to the Cumberland-L website for some months following the valuable information you provide to many parties both here in the US and elsewhere, I would now like to introduce myself. I was given the name James Edward in 1934 by my parents, Kenneth Elliott and Hazel Hensley Dickinson. My GGGG grandfather was Joseph Dickinson, a Quaker who immigrated from Ireland to the NJ/PA area in about 1725. His family was orginally located in Cumberland Co., England. according to a published family history in 1944 by Wm Maddox MD. Joseph was a member of the Mountmellick MM of Quakers in Ireland and his line was traced back by Wm Maddox to Sampel Parish (?) in Cumberland, England. I would like to exchange any additional information you may wish for my American generations, for information that you possibly can provide for my Irish/Cumberland roots. We plan to travel to Ireland and the Lake country in England next year in tracing our roots. We have in the past visited friends in Largs, Scotland in 1997 and also have had a number of trips to the London area from 1975 through 2000.
