Yes, James Dickinson of Cherry Valley was definitely the son of Christopher and Mary (----) Dickinson. This is confirmed by his wife's name Huldah; James, with wife Huldah, was named as one of Christopher Dickinson's sons in the genealogy made by Orson Pratt from his mother's recollections prior to 1849 (see Archibald Bennett, _Finding Your Forefathers in America_, Salt Lake City, 1960). Also, a genealogy of one of Philemon Dickinson's descendants in Cutter, Genealogical History of Western New York (forget the exact title) mentioned that one son went to Cherry Valley, NY.
