Dickinson, Tertullus died 1801

  of 2894

Searching for information re the following:
Tertullus Dickinson from Fredericksburg, Dutchess Co., NY where he held many public service positions, including Major in the local militia. He served as a Major with the Barrackmaster General's Dept on Long Island during the Revolutionary War. His wife was Jane Huggerford, daughter of Dr. Peter Huggerford. He received a townlot at Paartown, NB, Canada. By 1794 he returned to North Salem, Westchester Co., NY where he died in 1801.

I am certain he is a decendant of Capt. John Dickinson who was married to Elizabeth Howland.

I am having a difficult time gathering information on this branch of Dickinsons between 1700 and 1800.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
