Samuel Dickinson married Mary Jessup in Greene County Indiana. His brother Henry married Fayette Jessup also in Greene County Indiana. I don't have the record in front of me at the moment and there is too much to remember about everyone but I believe Mary died and he married again. His father was Amos Dickinson and Amos' second wife was Mary Dean. I have been trying to trace his first wife and someone told me it could be a Fannie Dils. Amos and his sons were living in Dearborn County and I have been trying to prove Amos's father but have failed so far. Samuel and Henry went to Illinois and then Kansas. Henry and Amos came back and settled in and around Decatur Illinois where Henry is buried. Amos is buried at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery at Newman Illinois. His and Mary's stones are still standing. I vaguely remember my father speaking of Samuel Usher Dickinson and it seems that his son lived with Henry and Fayette at some time. Please email me.I have much on Jessup side. Samuel was in the Civil War and there are records on that.
