I don't know where George Dickinson, Jr., went, but there is a George Dickinson in Cherry Valley, Otsego Co., NY, in the 1820 census. Since James Dickinson (1766-1843), first cousin of George Dickinson, Jr., lived in Cherry Valley (and then Roseboom), it seems likely that this is the same George. However, he must have left Cherry Valley after 1820, as there is no further record. George Dickinson, Sr.'s children seem to have been born between about 1765 and 1787, and the son George seems to have been a younger child. It looks like the George who was of Clay, Onondaga Co., is likely your George B.'s father, but it might be hard to identify him as George Dickinson, Jr., although he is probably the right age. I'd compare the census records of the George of Clay with all the Georges (listed as Dickerson, Dickenson, Dickinson, etc.) in 1820, and also see whether there are gravestone records in Clay. Maybe it is the same George.
