Looks like you are right. I recently went to the local Family History Center, and found Capt. Noah Dickinson on the Ancestral File. Listed him as born 3/14/1741 in Somers, Tolland, CT to James Dickinson III (s/o James Dickinson and Mary Wood) and Ruth Hartshorn (d/o Jonathan Hartshorn and Mary Birchard). So, that makes him the brother of your Submit. Does the information sound correct to you? (By the way, Noah's daughter Submit married David Dudley Field, and had several notable children, including Cyrus Field who was instrumental in laying the Atlantic Telegraph cable).

I had limited time so I only printed out this far back, but I believe they had more available. Noah's wife was listed as Hannah Skinner, daughter of Isaac Skinner and Hannah Marcy -- b. 8/17/1753 Wilbraham, Hampden, MA; d. 9/5/1830 Griegeville, York, NY.

Thanks for your help.
