Thanks for the information!
Do you know anything about Capt. John b. 1762 md Simms? I am wondering, if they are related to the Simms that is related to the Middletons. However, the Semmes related to the Middletons is spelled differently. Sarah Middleton, daughter of Smith Middleton & Mary Hawkins, married Dr. Edward Semmes. Theirs sons were Thomas b. 1778 & George b. 1782 in Prince George, Maryland.
There are records in Clarke Co., Georgia that Joel Dickinson was in this county in 1812 along with Middletons and Kemps. The reason that I have an interest in the Kemps is that Holland's son Zacharias, my ancestor, had a daughter Sarah Middleton who married John Kemp.
Do you know if any of the Dickinsons married a Kemp? We have found a Dickinson buried next to my g-g-g-grandmother Kemp in Marion Co., Alabama.
Let me know if you would like further information on the Middletons.
