I'm new to this so please bear with me.
There is a plaque on a church wall in Portchester castle (one of the best surviving Roman shore forts) near where I live in the UK. It lists Isabella Dickie as relict (widow?) to a surgeon who cared for French prisoners of war (Napoleonic wars) and who carried on her husbands work. I understand Scottish Christian names tended to follow a pattern. She would have died about or before your Isabella was born.
If you think this would be of interest I could get the details / photo.
Spookily I could also give you my notes on Napoleonic surgery - I go re-enacting as a French Caporal Fourier Infermier and started that hobby before I discovered this lady.
