Please note the following corrections to the first message:
1. Peter Ironside's parents were "not" Alexander Ironside & Elizabeth McKenzie. They are Robert Ironside and Elspet Brown.
2. Peter died in "1898" & not 1889 at Brucehill, New Deer, Aberdeenshire.
3. Further information I have found:
In memory of Peter Ironside blacksmith, Brucehill d. 9 May 1898 aged 65, his wife Jane Dickie d. 17 July 1880 aged 48. Their children James d. 17 Mar. 1867 aged 18 mths,. Mary d. 12 Mar. 1878 aged 19, Peter d. 21 Apr. 1878 aged 21, Jane d. 7 Dec 1889 aged 26, George d. 21 Aug. 1936 (no aged given)
Peter Ironside, blacksmith, widower of Jane Dickie, d. 9 May 1898, Brucehill, New Deer, parents Robert Ironside, schoolmaster, and Elspet Ironside m.s. Brown, death notified by son George Ironside.
