My Robert Dickie, b. abt 1832 Dalry, Ayrshire, Scotland, married Mary Patrick b. abt 1834, emigrated to Bunker Hill, Macoupin County, Illinois. He died of disease shortly after the 1870 census where he is listed as occ. “wagon maker.”
Their surviving children were
William Patrick, b. 1850 (jeweler and post master)
Mary
Robert (jeweler)
John (carpenter)
Edward J. (fireman, died at 22)
There is a tiny James buried in the Bunker Hill Cemetery plot 198, "James D. s/o R&M 14 Jun 1857-Sep 1858."
There are several other Dickies in that plot.
