I have gone through every Dickey in AL in the census year 1850 except one household which was over looked, a Nelley in Franklin, Co.,AL
There is in Benton Co., AL 1850 a William F. Dickey and a Willis W. Dickey. Perhaps someone is thinking this is your family. Willis lives in the 29th Sub Divis page #385
Willis W. Dickey 29 M Farmer SC
Mahala Dickey 23 F DO
Margarit 5/12F AL

I have info on other Dickey's in AL but I don't have the time right now to find it.
