My husband descends from John Dickey's just younger brother, George Dickey born 1742. I don't have information on John's family that I see. Have you seen The Diceky Encyclopedia? It was written by Gerald Dickey who was living in Dallas, TX, at the time. However, a correspondent wrote to him there about three years ago, and he was not at the address. You might try Lloyd Bockstruck who heads the genealogy dept. at the Dallas Public Library. I think he aided Mr. Dickey in his efforts. I don't know that this volume will help, but it is a possibility. I copied only the parts pertinent to my search. As I remember it was pretty comprehensive, but one never knows. Bena Kirkscey
