It may just be a typo, but thought you might want to note Matthew is buried in Beans Creek Cemetery. I've spent some time out there looking around and it's a nice area. Anyone wishing to visit can take Hwy. 64 between Winchester and Fayetteville, TN and you'll run right by it.

For what it's worth, there is an old house nearby which used to serve as a stage coach stop. Rumor has it that it was one of the hide-outs for the James Gang and at some point in the past gold coins believed to have been misplaced booty from a robbery was found under the stairs.

Good luck and keep huntin'. I finally recently linked my part of the Dickey family into the whole kit & kaboodle reaching back to Robert Dickey from Scotland thanks to the internet!!
