This Owen Dickey is listed in the 1860 census in Newton Co., TX.
He is one of 8 sons of Patrick Dickey, who arrived in Charles Town, S.C. on 5 June 1767 from Belfast aboard the ship NAncy, Samuel Hanna , master. (see the book "South Carolina Immigrants 1760 to 1770," abstracted by Jack Moreland and Mary Bondurant Warren, which quoted this from the South Carolina Gazette, No. 1655, June 1 to June 5, 1767
