Well, I am a Dickey descendant. My Grandfather, Roscoe Dickey, was born in Holton, Kansas, on June 30 1879. His father, Jason Lewis Dickey, was born in Missouri, near Blue Township, Aug 24, 1833. It appears that Jason's father may have been a Thomas Dickey, who in the 1850 federal census, claimed to be born in North Carolina. He is 71 yrs in 1860 and 62 in the 1850 census. I am trying to track this guy back to North Carolina and establish my connection with him

Soes anyone know?
Thomas E. Dickey 71 yrs in 1860 with Mary, 62, Enos 35 yrs, Flora 24 yrs, Ruth (Dickey)Casey, 21 yrs, (Thomas) Benton Dickey 18 yrs.

And in 1850, there was Thomas Dickey 62 yrs, Mary 53 yrs, Xenona 36 yrs, William 26, yrs, Enos, 25 yrs, Jno, 20 yrs, My gggrandfather Jason 17 yrs, Elizabeth 18 yrs Flora, 14 yrs, Sarah 11 yrs, and Thos B. 9 yrs.

Do any of these people look familiar????

Holton Ks, is in Jackson County and Blue Township, near Independance is in Jackson county Missouri.

I am in Southern California.
