I have our Dickey family lineage from 1753 forward, but have not been able to find anything before then. I know that our Dickey's "were banished from Scotland to Ulster Co. Ireland then to PA". The lineage my great-grandmother did, started with "John, born on the ocean was the anscestor to us all". I have paid for a search in Ireland without success. I don't know his parents' names or the date of his birth. I do know that his son, Samuel, was born in Rowan Cty, NC in 1753. I will list what I have and hope it will help someone else. If anyone can help me, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

George S., son on Samuel,b 4/23/1843 Preble Co, Ohio; d 9/18/1916 Greensburg, IN; m Mary Louisa Reed Hinkle b 8/5/1847; d 4/11/1936 in Natchez, MS. Both buried in IN.
Olive Edith Dickey, daughter of George S., (my great grandmother)b 9/14/1868 in Butler Co.Ohio; d 8/27/1946 in Natchez, MS. m Bert E. Gilham b 12/6/1873 in Greensburg, IN, d7/30/1961 in Jackson, MS. Both buried in Natchez
