The letter is addressed to:
Mr. G.R. Ponder
Buffalo, South Carolina
Dear Brother,
This is Sunday as Robert Wesley is gone to church. I decided to stay home as this earth this morning is covered with snow, sleet & ice.
The letter ends, Much love your sister Emma.
Robert Wesley is a son, as this is stated in the letter. Also, Robert Wesley is about to get married. Emma is a widower trying to keep the farm going.
