Donald,
I have a Hamilton Dickey, who is G-G-Grandfather to my wife. This is his family.

Hamilton Dickey was born 1799 in Pennsylvania. He married (1) Fanny Shaw April 10, 1821 in Ripley County, Indiana. He married (2) Ephabel Cummins March 29, 1852 in Ripley County, Indiana.

Children of Hamilton Dickey and Fanny Shaw are:
i. James Dickey, born Abt. 1825 in Indiana. He married Clarissa Unknown.
ii. Moses Dickey, born Abt. 1826. He married Mary Unknown.
iii. George Dickey, born Abt. 1827.
iv. Mary Jane Dickey, born November 08, 1828 in Brookville, Indiana; died November 26, 1899 in Lakota, N.D.. She married Rudolph Morrow Pickett 1851 in Ripley County, Indiana.
v. William Dickey, born Abt. 1830 in Indiana. He married Sarah Unknown.
vi. Eleanor Dickey, born Abt. 1832 in Indiana. She married Henry McNew.
vii. Jonathan Dickey, born Abt. 1834 in Indiana; died February 25, 1898 in Bartholomew County, Indiana. He married Mary Jane Watts February 27, 1862 in Jennings County, Indiana.
viii. Samuel Dickey, born Abt. 1836 in Indiana.
ix. Nancy Dickey, born Abt. 1837 in Indiana.
x. John Dickey, born Abt. 1838 in Indiana.

As you can see I have very little on Hamilton and his wife. We have long thought that his father was George but didn’t know for sure.
Is this the same Hamilton that you have as son of George or do you know? Also is the sister Sarah the same as Sally Dickey who married Samuel Shaw?
Thank you,
Howard E. Grider
