I keep trying to use your email addresses you leave, and always find they aren't good anymore. This time I was told your address was not accepting mail from me. <?>
I descend from all of the lines in your subject line. I'm down from Elijah Wadlow and Nancy Emeline Brawley, through their daughter Sarah, who md. Arthur Melton. The daughter of Arthur and Sarah, Amanda Jane Melton, md. John Franklin Jordan, s/o John Jordan and Elizabeth Catherine Tompkins. John Jordan was s/o Reuben Wesley Jordan and Polly Ann Brawley (Nancy's sister).
I'd love to talk to you about some of the ends of these lines. But the first problem is: Why does everyone disagree about the parentage of Sarah Wadlow who md. Arthur Melton? What's the proof that it's one way or the other, Elijah and Nancy or John Wesley and Cynthia Thorp? I know they both had daughters Sarah of about the same age.
And on the topic of the Dickey line: My Mom (81) and I are very interested in our MtDNA line (mother's mother's mother, etc.), so I'm wondering what you know about Mary Ann or Nancy Ann Johnson or Johnston, Rebecca Lyons' mother? Do you know her parentage? For others: Rebecca Lyons was the mother of Easter Dickey, b. 20 Feb. 1790, Rowan Co., NC.
