I am a descendant of Jason Lewis Dickey, who was born in Jackson County Mo, in 1833, abt. I have found him in the 1850 census for Blue Township Jackson County Missouri, with, I suppose, his famiily.

It appears the father is Thomas, aged 62, wife Mary, age 53, sister Zenona(?) age 36, bro Wm 26 yrs, bro Enos age 25, bro Jno (?) 20 yrs, my great grandfather, Jason 17 yrs, sister Elizaabeth 18 yrs, Sister Flora 14yrs, sis Sarah 11 yrs and Thos 9 yrs.

I am trying to "find" Thomas and Mary's parents. Family lore says that Mary was a "Ray", and they were ennumerated in the 1850 census next door to "Rayburn", or she could have come from Ray county or anything.

My research has found a Mary Dickey in Kentucky, which is where I feel she hails from. She claims in the 1850 census to be from KY. He claims North Carolina to be his birthplace on the census.

Any help or WHO IS HIS FATHER (Thomas Dickey) AND BROTHERS AND SISTERS?, would be greatly appreciated.......and if anyone knows anything about Mary E. Ray Dickey.

I know my ggrandfather, Jason moved to kansas before 1880 and Married a Jenny Taylor in Holton, KS and they had 3 children , my grandfather Roscoe his sister, Lotta, his brother Arthur
