I have Dickey's in Yalobusha Co., MS. I have a John married to Mary and their first child was Sarah J. Taking a closer look the ages are wrong. I went to the library and got a lot of information. Let me get it entered and see where we can go from there. In the mean time let me give you something to think about. My Elijah Dickey was born about 1794 in Rowan Co., NC. He had a brother John born before 1900. When their father died and their morther remarried they were raised by a grandfather. They both moved to Jefferson Co., AL. They both married there. John married twice and stayed a little longer than Elijah. Could your John be a cousin to all of mine in Yalobusha? You might want to check out Jefferson Co., AL. I will get back to you shortly.
