William Dickey, 1830's, IN> MO

Because of a fire in the Montgomery county, MO court house, I have lost the trail of William Dickey and family. Records indicate that he was born abt. 1803 in NC. During the 1830's he lived in Indiana with wife Sarah A. Ramsey. Moved to Missouri in early 1840's. Would like to pick up the trail in Indiana, but have no info on what part of the state to look. I've been stuck at this point for a long time. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
