Dickey of 2911 Dear Jim, My maternal grandmother was Dora Lotta Mae Cordelia Dickey,she was born 23 Sept.1896 to John W. Dickey and Alice? They were part Cherokee, my grandmother was 1/4 cherokee. John W.'s father was we beleive James Monroe Dickeyand he was married to Elizabeth Ward Dickey. John William was born 29 Mar 1894 and died 10 January 1937 and is buried in Rubotom, Love County, Oklahoma. I am trying to trace it back to either a Jack Dickey or Dickie as my cousin in Fairfield California told me. Any help would be deeply appreciated as I can find nothing on my maternal grandmothers side of the family. All of her sisters and brothers are no longer living and the family bible with the information burned in a house fire years ago.
