Clan affiliations of Glasgow Dickeys?

I have out of curiosity investigated the Dickie/Dickey (my mother's family) in Scotland -- spec. Glasgow. I found an interesting family, the Dicksons, in the same area (the Clyde) of the Keith clan. Apparently some variation exists in the form of Dickson: Dixon, Dick, MacDickie. Are the Dickeys of Glasgow related? Mac- is sometimes dropped in lowland Scots names.
