I'm trying to learn something about my mother's family background. Not sure of the time, but I'd estimate 1880s or shortly thereafter, and probably in Texas. Richard Dickerson married Bessie Luce. He'd married at least twice before and had many children, one of whom was my grandmother, Martha Viola Dickerson. She had a sister, Bessie. Beyond that, I'm vague. They spent time in Sylvester, Texas, and apparently were farm workers. My grandmother told me that she crossed Texas in a covered wagon. She was born in 1905, so that's how I'm guestimating the dates mentioned. Thanks!
