Jehu Dickerson (b. ca. 1813) married Frances Ann Hope (b. ca. 1822) in Ouachita Parish, LA, on or about 6 April 1840. Children (from 1850 and 1860 censuses):

(e) Laura Ann, 1 Feb 1849
(f) E.J. (female), ca. 1851

(h) J. (female), ca. 1853
(i) William, ca. 1855
(j) Emily, ca. 1857
Some suggest Jehu was a son of Robert and Elizabeth (nee Cloud) Dickerson of Ouachita Parish. Others suggest Jehu was Robert's brother.
Cautionary note: The handwritten name "Jehu" can appear to be "John."
Does anyone have authoritative source(s) for one claim or the other?
