Hi Beth, thanks for replying. I did not have the land info you posted so will check on that.
I have John Dickerson married to Elizabeth Peace as son of Nathaniel & Mary Thompson Dickinson Kent or Louisa Co. Va.
He moved to NC about the time his son John 1755 was born. John 1755 married Dorcas Robbins Granville NC. They had a son John born in [Greenville] SC. Dorcas died aft 1840 in Gwinett Ga.
I have not found much on John & Elizabeth Peace in NC History, nor any info on their son John. I had seen the record of land being given to niece, and nephew.
Maybe I can find which deeds belong to each John.
I was interested to see that John (Peace) was listed as Col. I would like to find more on that if possible. I wonder if there would be any books on Granville History mentioning him.
