I found an Elijah Dickerson on the pension roles. There were at least 4 Elijah Dickerson in Va in that time frame so I don't know if this is the same one. I could find nothing else.

The Pension Roll of 1835, Vol. III
Floyd Co, Va
Elijah Dickerson, pvt, allowance $20, sums rec'd $50,Virginia Militia, placed on pension roll May 30, 1833, age 79, date of death not known.
