1796 Marriage Certificate-TENNESSEE-CAROLINA-Genealogy

This old document is in good condition. There are some minor tears and holes along some of the edges, and creases where it appears that it was once folded. There are some light transfer of ink (phantom writing) along the bottom area, where I believe this happened while it was folded over, and the written words were pressed against the clean paper. There is also some light general discoloration. It says at the top left corner "State of Tennesee", "Davison County". The names appear to be William Donelson and Charaty Dickinson "in the state of North Carolina", and it is signed by "Andrew Irving". The style of writing from this period is beautiful but somewhat difficult to read. Someone has written a few words very lightly in pencil on the lower left front area. You may be able to remove this gently with a gum eraser.
