Hi,
I am trying to find the Dickerson side of my family and am not getting very far. The story I heard goes like this..My grandfather was named L.A. Dickerson at birth (just initials) and later he had to name himself..he chose Lawrence Albert Dickerson. According to the stories my father heard, Grandpa's dad died in WWI, my father doesn't know his first name. Grandpa's mom remarried a man with the last name McChord or McCord and had another son named Mack (I'm not sure if Mack is a nickname for McCord or whether its actually his name) Her married names were Nina Dickerson and Nina McCord, I don't know her maiden name. I know she lived in Wichita Falls TX. That's where I hit a brick wall. If you have heard of any of these people, let me know! Thanks!
