I may have useful information. I have recently begun researching my paternal grandmother's line and have learned that my grandmother, Jane Dickerson, was born around 1900 or so in or around Raphine, Virginia. Her mother was named Elizabeth but I understand she was also called Lizzie and/or Eliza. I know from your posting that Lizzie's mother or father was born in 1885, so that may suggest this is not the same person. In case there is a connection, though, I would love to hear from you.
