This obit was on the same page as one I copied for my family – just thought I would pass it along.
“Southern Christian Advocate”
Issue: 8-9-1855
“Died, near La Fayette, Ga., July 9th, 1855. Mrs. S.E. Dickerson, wife of Dr. R.B. Dickerson, aged 40 years. Though in feeble and failing health for many years, she was unusually cheerful and of a lively disposition and by her kindness and affability won the esteem and admiration of those who associated with her. As a wife and mother she was all that those names import: indeed, the law of kindness was her “rule of action” in all the relations of life. A member of the M.W. Church for 15 years or more, she endured a protracted sickness with the utmost patience ---said she was perfectly resigned to the will of God, and trusting in the merits of Christ, departed in peace.”
