I assume your John Dickerson was born in 1805 instead of 1705? I have a Sarah Dickerson who married Beverly Harp in Granville County, NC on September 30, 1804. They moved to Tennessee and then on to NW Arkansas living in what later became Madison County. Their daughter Cherubia (who went by Cherry or Chubia)was my great x 3 grandmother. We've always wondered where that name came from. I've been trying to learn who Sarah's parents were and I suspect she was somehow related to the John Dickerson who was the county justice and tavern owner in Granville County. Do you have any information on this family?
