Dear DD; Thanks so much - there is useful info here if I can confirm it. For the record tho, I've also heard the story on BR in reverse - i.e., he was compelled to join from KY then moved to VA afterwards. Also, have heard he may have joined the Union army instead and been imprisoned by the CSA as a traitor. Then, there's always the possibility that he never joined and got imprisoned. A relative who was closer to the family gave me that. So, just for the sake of proving ourselves in our record keeping, do you have confirmation of Beverly Dickerson being in either army - and thank you so much. Feel free to reply with other info as the time becomes right.
