Ah, yes..Beverly moved his family to Carter Co., KY. and lived there in the part that became Elliott Co. 1869. He was born about 1819. There is a story about him that he killed a man and left Va. to escape jail. He was caught and return for trial and found guilty of murder. His sentence was commuted by the Governor if he would join the Confederate army, which he did. After the war he sold his land in VA. and moved to KY. Dave D.
