No that is my problem, I keep running into the same name, like Robert, Willis, Charity, Nancy, Michael, but in different generations as the original sons of Robert Dickinson, Sr. scattered. They went first to Pendleton Dist SC, then some, or descendants of them to GA, AL, & ??. Robert Jr., b. abt 1745, may have had a son named Robert too. At least one of Robert Sr.'s other sons (either Willis, Mikel, or James did also, and that is why it is so difficult. I am working with names but no real data, because the census does not show childrens or wives names during the period (until 1850).

For instance: Michael's son Robert Robinson Dickinson was born in Pendleton District, SC, 12-5-1815; but not sure which Michael this is----- see what I mean??

Perhaps if you can share some of your data (email is ok) it could help. I do have Robert SR.'s Will, naming his children. I am trying to find which son was the father of Nancy Dickenson that married James Matthews, but need the other info as well.

Thanks.
