My wife's family (per a family Bible), Beverly James Dickerson b. 1.13.1855 or 59 in Mercer County, Kentucky d. 6.1.1934 in Perryville, Kentucky m. 10.1879 to Martha (Mattie) Bell Sparrow b. 3.17.? d. 12.1.1927. Their daughter, Nannie Frances Dickerson b. 7.26.1893 in Mercer County, Kentucky d. 4.22.1976 in Danville, Kentucky m. Cecil White. Cecil and Nannie were my wife's grandparents. Uncofirmed story is that Mattie Sparrow was a decendent of Lucy Shipley (Abe Lincoln's grandmother) through her 2nd marriage to Henry Sparrow. Per mother-in-law (I don't know her source), And R.J. Dickerson signed for Beverly James at his weddding to Martha Bell Sparrow and Thomas Sparrow signed for Martha Bell Sparrow. That's about all I know. The name Beverly James Dickerson seems unique enough that these two must be related somehow, but based on the dates, I haven't even a guess how. Any info you have would be appreciated.
