I am looking for information on my ggg grandfather, William D. Dickerson born 1790 in Virginia. He married Frances or Fanny Skinner or Skines? abt 1840-42. This could have been a second or third marriage for William since there is 26 years difference in their ages. Frances was born about 1816 in Maryland (according to the 1850 Census of Stafford County, Virginia.
The children I have listed for them are Mary Catherine born 1843, Frances Dickerson born 1845 (my gg grandmother)who married Robert A. Doyle, Margaret Ann born 1848, William born 1851, Betty born 1853, Robert "Buck" born 1855, and Jane born 1857. All the children were born in Stafford County, VA.
