Thanks for the information Rowland. Apparently there are Two John Dickers, one being the son of the other and both were born in the UK. They then emmigrated on the ship "Harry Lorrequer"with 7 of their children and one from a previous marriage of his wife's, arriving in South Australia on 26 December 1849. 1. John Dicker Sn. was born in Yealmpton in 1812.and had 9(nine) children eventually. He married Mary Ann Budge and their eldest son (although 2nd child)was 2. John Dicker Jr.also born in UK (not sure where)and married Mary Watts at Foreston in South Australia. They themselves had 10 children who survived although im think there may have been 11. Don't hesitate to contact me by email,as it's slow going tracing your family out here and most of this information is not verified apart from what I pick up on the internet as I live in the country (Goolwa, South Australia) and don't get into town very often. Regards Bob Dicker Notify Administrator about this message?
