The photo that Joe came across seems to be William Dickensheets, 45 yrs old, born in MD as were his parents according to the 1880 Miami twp., Montgomery, OH census. On the back it reads Uncle William Dickensheets + his oldest daughter Emma Busche + four generations. Grandma Willis' brother (mother Burn's mother). Joe Cannon who found the photo also says that there is a William Dickensheets who married Matilda Jane Sarvey.
The 1880 census lists William, his wife J. Matilda Dickensheets age 37 born in OH, her father born in NJ and her mother born in OH.
Their children listed:
F. David, son age 19 (all children born in OH)
A. Emma, 16
C. John, 14
E. Rebecca, 12
W. Webster, 10
J. Sarah, 9
M. Ida, 7
S. Samuel, 5
H. Arthur, 3
M. Lilly, 1
also listed with family is Henry Poffinberger, Laborer, BroL, 41 yrs. old, born in OH, parents born in MD.
So Henry is the Brother in Law to the head of house, William.
If William and his daughter Emma (married to a Busche) are in the photo and it indicates 4 generations... of who's family? There is a younger woman and a young son in the photo also. The photo was found in Waynesville, Warren co., OH, perhaps the family is from that area.
Who is this William? Who's son?
The Joe who found the photo is not related but is interested in seeing that family know of the photo, I'm just passing on info that we corresponded about.
