look under the MWABA... Midwest Antiquarian Booksellers Assoc... there is a tribute to Augustus Dickens ... it is a eulogy for Augustus Dickens and Bertha Phillips....it states that it is an excerpt for the book "Carles Dickens and his Chicago Relatives" by Sidney p. Moss and Carolyn J. Moss...I do have the article printed if you can't find it (I just googled it).. I have not looked for the book yet... there seems to be a bit of confusion as to wether they were really married or not..also some articles portray him as a leech to his brother and others talk of grand parties and great man... Bertha however, most agree committed suicide...she left behind three children Bertram, Adrian and Amy...Amy would be my ggmother ... my gmother told me the story that her gmother passed away and the three children were sent to "good christian homes".. however, my gmother is deceased and I can't find where they went... good luck ! always willing to share... thanks
