Eileen - hello. I am looking for information regarding Ephraim and Catherine Workman Dickens two sons, John Thomas and Henry W Dickens, as follows
1. John Thomas Dickens, the son of Ephraim Dickens, Sr. and Catherine Workman, was born about 1848 in Davidson County, North Carolina. He married Mary Jane Varker on April 1, 1869. Mary Jane Varker was born in 1852. John and Mary had the following children:
1a. Charles Ephraim Dickens, the son of John Thomas Dickens and Mary Jane Varker, was born about 1871 in Davidson County, North Carolina. He married Jennie Harris on December 25, 1898 in Davidson County, North Carolina. Jennie was born in 1875.
1b. Dora Dickens, the daughter of John Thomas Dickens and Mary Jane Varker, was born about 1873 in Davidson County, North Carolina.
1c. Alice Leona Dickens, the daughter of John Thomas Dickens and Mary Jane Varker, was born in 1878 in Davidson County, North Carolina. She married Forest Holmes in 1900. Forest was born in 1874.
2. Henry W. Dickens, the son of Ephaim Dickens, Sr. and Catherine Workman, was born about 1853 in Davidson County, North Carolina. He married Sarah Varker on January 23, 1882 in Davidson County, North Carolina. Sarah was born abt 1859. Children are:
2a. Kyle
2b. Henry M K Dickens
2c. Ola B. Dickens
My interest is in the Varker ladies. I know Mary Jane is sister to my Grandfather, James T. Varker. I believe Sarah may be a relative as well.
