In reply to Jon: John Dicken, born Oct 14,1814 was son of Moses Dicken. John's paternal grandfather was Amos Dicken, founder of the Dicken family in Bedford Ct.John married Elizabeth Elliott, had 12 children, Thomas W., Elizabeth, Rebecca wife of James Hardinger of Cumberland valley, Pricilla, John C., Alice L. and Charles F..
Confusion of names is they kept passing names down in family and its hard to sort out.
