Hi there,
I have gotten quite a bit of information on the family since that posting. I do not have anything of Agnes Towers Dick herself, but do have quite a bit of information on her parents and grandparents.
Agnes was the d/o of George Dick and Janet MacNaughton. George was born Sept 1820 and d. Dec. 1859
They were married in Aug. 1850 Their other children were Margaret b. 1851 and Alexander b. 1854
George was the s/o Alexander Dick b. 18 Apr 1790 in Bothkenner, Stirlingshire, Scotland. He died in Black River Bridge on 4 Jan 1868.
He was married to Agnes Towers b. 1789.
Their children were Janet b. 1816,Agnes b. July 1818,George Sep 1820,Alexander Aug. 24, 1823, Grace Feb. 1824
Alexander was the son of George Dick b. 29 Dec 1745 and d. 10 Dec. 1823. George was married to Margaret Brown 14 Aug 1787 in Bothkenner. Their children were William b. 15 Aug 1788,Alexander b. 18 Apr 1790, Robert b. 29 Jan 1792, and Janet b. 27 Feb 1794
George was the son of William Dick b. abt. 1726, He married Grizel Hay b. 23 Jun 1728 in Cumbernauld, Dunbarton, Scotland and d. 23 Apr 1807 in Airth. Their children were George, Isabel, Jean James, Walter, John Graham Stirling and Robert.
I have corresponded with people who are descended from Walter also and have some info on his line. Do not have info on any of the other children of William and Grizel. This work is published in the National Archives in Fredericton and was given to me by a researcher there. I can send you a file if you would like and would love to get your info on Agnes and her family. LEt me know how I can be of further help.
Joyce
