It has been so-o-o long since I looked at the Dick information, that I'd forgotten about another chart I found in my Grandmother's papers years ago. (in fact, I'm not entirely sure where it is and I didn't transcribe it). But it was a genealogical chart that begins with a Thomas Edwards born on 10/14/1690 and ends about 1921.No locations are given on this chart, which implies that some if not all the records could come from a Bible(s).
There is a Mary Ann Dent married in 1763 to a Benjamin Edwards, born 1741. Their children are Dicandra Dent, b. 1768, Martha, b. 1770, Henry, Elisabeth, b. 1776, Thomas J., Joseph Dent, Mary - and more unknown. Dicandra Dent Edwards married Henry Dick on November 1789 whose line leads to Narcissa Katherine Dick, b. 8/30/1867, married to Milton Shepherd Pyle on August 8, 1892 in Clarke County, VA. My Mother, Isabelle Marie Pyle was born in 1921.
I once investigated these Dents, but remember that I was never sure that the info above was fact.
Also, I have photos of some of the Dick gravestones in Old Chapel Cemetery in Clarke County. Let me know if you'd like me to send them to you.
