THOMAS DICK of Tanfield near Edinburgh, c1829.
Posted by: David Thom (ID *****4336) Date: January 22, 2008 at 08:07:54
  of 1713

Do any respondents recognise, or have knowledge of, THOMAS DICK whose abode was given as TANFIELD near EDINBURGH (Scotland), in 1829/1830?
Although Tanfield is listed on several documents it also appears as FAIRFIELD on another, but that is probably a transcription error.
Mr. Dick was possibly a businessman or banker and may have had a connection with Liverpool. He would have been around the age of 40 (plus or minus a few years) in 1829.

David.
