This has been a while since it was posted, but I thought I'd add something here too...

I am currently researching the Dick family that settled in Central Ontario/Albion County. I have some information (not all 100% confirmed) of family living in the Ayrshire area....looks something like this:

William Dick Janet Ross
1720 ???
child: William Dick b. 1751 d.1802

child of William - Robert Dick b. 1775 Kirkoswald, Ayrshire, Scotland
d. 1855 Dailly, Ayrshire, Scotland
Married Elizabeth Rowen 1778-1846

child of Robert - Alexander Dick b.1806 Ayshire, Scotland
d.1873 Albion Twp, Peel Co., Ontario, Canada
Married Janet McClanahan Old Cumnock, Ayrshire, Scotland (1806-1881)

At some point around 1828-29 moved to Albion Twp, Peel Co., Ontario, Canada

Any of this ring any bells for anyone?
