I have been searching for a connection between these families for several years. I believe I have found it.
If my research is correct, "Aron" Davis of Union District, SC had several children including at least two daughters.....Delilah Davis (married Samuel Dick) and Elizabeth Davis (married William Hollingsworth). They lived on Brown's Creek just off the Broad River. These two families migrated to St. Clair Co., AL around 1835 and further West after 1840.
It appears that the first wife of William Hollingsworth was Jane Nelson Tracy. Jane died c1816 and William married Elizabeth Davis c1817.
I found documents that connected the Tracy, Dick, Davis and Hollingsworth families and learned while researching the land records in Union Co., SC that these families lived in the same area (Brown's Creek) during the early 1800's.
Does anyone have additional information regarding these families and their migration?
