Posted by: Clark Scherer (ID *****4638) Date: May 13, 2005 at 14:54:08
  of 1722

Hanna Sophia Dick, born probably near Ottweiler, Germany
in Saarland and came to Pennsylvania from 1752 to 1755
when she married Jacob Daniel (Scherrer) Scherer 1755.
First child (John Jacob)born in Delaware in 14 Sep 1759.
Settled in Guilford County, N.C. Luthern Faith. Her husband Jacob Daniel Scherer died on his farm in Guilford County, N.C. on 26 Sep 1795. Hannah Sophia and Sons sold
the farm around 1806 and moved to Prebble County, Ohio and established another farm and lived there till her death on 20 Jun 1825. We need help to connect her to her German roots through the Dick family.

Possible relative: James Dick, Postmaster of Alamance, N.C. c. 1817. If anyone connects back to Germany through the Dick family from 1745 to 1755 please reply.
